These are all excellent rides that are rated Easy to Moderate not requiring mountain bikes.
Sugar Loaf Mountain, Harlow Lake, Wetmore Beach and Little Presque Isle
Scenic panoramic views of Lake Superior. Rivers, Cliffs, Beaches Bogs, Islands, and Woods. Cabins for rent at Harlow Lake from Michigan DNR. Rolling to slightly hilly terrain. 5 miles north of Marquette.

Chocolay River Trail
Very easy ride with excellent views of Lake Superior!!
Runs south thru Marquette past South Beach and along the lakeshore across the Carp River and past the MDOT Welcome Center. Great ride if you like to just keep going for the exercise and not stop much.
Peshekee River Grade and McCormick Tract.
After crossing the Peshekee River park your car and ride north along the Grade Road about 6 miles to the trail to the McCormick Tract. You’ll have to lock up the bikes good here as you’ll be hiking in about 3 miles to the remnants of the old McCormick Hunting Lodge on White Deer Lake . Virgin White Pines, Moose, and lots of other wildlife abound here. Wheeled vehicles are not allowed here.
Republic, Champion, Humbolt Trail System
You have to rent a bike carrier as this area is located about 30 miles west of Marquette but is a really great place to ride. You won’t be disappointed. Rail trail with many bridges, ponds, lakes, creeks, rivers, beaver ponds and dams, and bogs. You might even see some moose.
